jQuery: Animated Hover Effect (ahover)

Some days I wake up and feel like writing some JavaScript. I’m a big fan of jQuery and designing interfaces and interactions, so today I made a simple plugin for making animated hover effects.

Besides just triggering custom animations—which is easy enough to do without the plugin—the idea is for the hover effect to be able to slide smoothly between hovered items and grow or shrink accordingly. Move your mouse over the first list on the demonstration page for an example.
